What are ways to train for running?(For speed and stamina)?

Im 13 and l can run a mile in 7-6 min. but l wanna surpass this
l pratice running a mile at least 3 times a week but are there better ways?
Or what are your suggestions?

start running more than a mile everyday and keep building up until you find your limits and pace yourself until you find a steady mileage

it will build up endurance and eventually you will get faster at the mile itself

The best way that l have found to get better at running is to run a block at a heavy jog then sprint all out the next one then a heavy jog and so on.. l am 21 and l can run 3 miles in just less then 19 mins. It worked for me, someone told me about it but l cant remember who.. Hope it helps you out.

im also 13(boy) & run a 7min mile.i hav asthma & im a sprinter.
ure work-outs during the week r pretty good. l would consider running at least 10 miles a week if u want to run long distance. spread it out during the week.this will increase ure stamina greatly.(my track coach told me this, he is smart). also, to make ure breathing better, do this excersise( take two hand weights, put one in each hand. lay down on something u would bench on(bar-bell bench). put ure arms side ways extending out to ure sides. keep a slight bend in ure elbow & put them above ure head & repeat. this will really help ure breathing. it helps me out a lot with my asthma. l u want to be a sprinter, work-out about 3x a week for about 45min. (lifting, treadmill, running up & down stairs). hope this is helpful to u.
