best recorded 400m was 71 seconds. Goal:58, best 200 was 32 secondsgoal:24 best 100m was 13.34, goal: sub 12 seconds. Best high jump was 4'4. goal:5'0 best long jump was 15 feet, goal: 18 feet.
and last: um best mile:6:15 , goal: sub 5
none of those running times are probably right anymore, because as soon as track ended l started running distance where as l could not run over a mile before. l now run 7 miles a day and my record is 45 minutes for 7 miles. My times for sprinting may be faster or slower. Are any of these goals possible for me?
anyyyy tips for reaching them? l am determined., And l have every day.

no, those goals are too hard to reach, especially since you have no plan to meet them

Yes, It will take loads of time, but ultimately they can be reached. but l have no clue with the jumping. that is not my best category in. you are going for really hard sprinting goals but the mile will be the easiest to reach.

The thing with goals is that they tend to shrink or sharpen our performance. For example, if someone is delighted running 100m in less than 13 secs, u wo not expect to see them reach less than 12 secs anytime soon. But the same person who refuses to be satisfied long jumping 16 feet is much more likely to reach 17 feet someday!

As someone who sounds like they r still relatively young, u want to have the mentality that ANY & ALL of the above goals r possible! But set realistic time-frames for yourself. You r not going to jump 3' longer in one week. So make short-term goals of jumping 16' & 17' first; then shoot for 18'.

Unless u r a very unusual person, u also should understand there is no need to try to undertake all these ambitions alone. Do it with fellow athletes also striving for their goals. Do it with ur coach, who can give u expert advice on how to get there. And do not underestimate the importance of proper diet (lay off the fast food & soda) & the psychological approach to athletic competition.

Right now, somebody somewhere is training for the same event as you, & will stand beside u on raceday. Will they leave u wishing u had practiced more? Or would u rather leave THEM wishing they worked as hard as u did?

Bottom line, if u want something bad enough, u will find a way to get it. Whether u THINK u can achieve those goals does not matter as much as do u WANT to. If u do, prove it to us & to yourself.

l hope to see u at the finish line, rewarded for ur efforts. Start today.

the running goals are most definetly possible l also run track but l dont know about the field events l have never done any just start running now and by the time district or whatever u call it where u live at u will be ready

Yea those goals r pretty hard to reach. Especially because track is in the spring (right after winter if where u live has a winter season) because most of the time u dont really improve during the winter. Also u wont be running all of those events unless u r ur schools track team. Another is that most females dont go sub 5 mile until college. l would stick with one event & try to get better with it for u it might be the mile if u like long distance running. But u never know with enough hard work & enthusiasm anything can be accomplished.
