l ran 3k cross country a few months ago and did something to my knee, still not sure what. At my first meet my knee started hurting really bad during the race, and after the race l iced it and went to the trainer is for her to look at it. She said it would be better in about a week if l iced everyday. So l did, but my knee continues to hurt and can hyper extend and every time l bend it makes a snapping noise. And during the week l iced it l did not run. l continued to ice after l ran, including practice, but it did not help. And do not ask why l did not go to the doctor's, my parents said, ''If the trainer says it is fine, it is.'' Cross country ended 3 months ago, and it still hurts.

Nobody can diagnose a problem like that over the Internet but you definitely need to get to a doctor. l have knee problems and believe me, they take long enough to sort out without wasting loads of time waiting to see if it will heal itself. Make an appointment asap as not sorting problems out can lead to things like arthritis or worse later in life.

It is obvious that if after 3 months you're still experiencing pain,
something is wrong. Nix the trainer & get to a doctor & at least
have an x-ray taken to see what damage has been done to
your knee, ok?
